WOOD TICKS!!!

There are many things that can make a dog crabby...like having your chewy stash infiltrated, or having a bath after a lovely roll in some fragrant cow business. But nothing compares to the irritating little creatures called WOOD TICKS.

HATES them we do Precious! They are creepy, nasty little things. They get in our ears, they attach themselves to us and make us itchy. Mom says I am allergic tot hem. Everywhere one bites me, I get a yucky lump and it gets infected.

Mom makes us sit down and she does "wood tick check". I don't mind that so much. It feels good when she runs her fingers through my fur. But when she finds one it doesn't feel so good. She pulls it off and shows it to me. I jump around and act silly, and then we start all over again.

I hate wood ticks.

Angus ScottHi Freckles, Oh tickers are just about the worst for hairy doggies like us-except for maybe burrs-boy I hate burrs. My human lady pulls at them to get them out and then has to use scissors to cut them out of our beautiful full coats. The Tickers head right for our ears and head-we have only had one this year, thank goodness. Sometimes the little devils fall off of our slippery hair and land on our Lady and dig in. We try not to laugh (too much) or say "How do you like it" but sometimes we do anyway. Hugs from Kilty and Angus

Freckles...humans get them too! Rylan had one on the back of his head this morning and he sure didn't like it when I used the tweezers to pull it out. I know one lady who used to put the ticks she pulled off the dogs in a cup of water and microwave them...it just made her feel better. Hugs to your mom and all of you from Rylan and Jacqui.

Cealiegh of Skye ("Kailie")Me too, Freckles!!! It's even weirder around my house if Mom finds one. She just freaks!! Then she calls for Dad to come and get them off me. I know he really doesn't mean to hurt, but having one of them little suckers get really attached to you, and it has to. A nice lady suggested that Mom & Dad wipe me down with a Bounce sheet every time I get home from the park. I guess it must work as since starting to use them idea, Dad has only found one critter in my ear. Maybe your Mon should try it as well.
