Where were we?.......
Posted by on June 18, 2008, 9:15 pm...is it really over a month since I last managed to get onto my computer? I really should get a grip of the Old Fella for hogging my internet time, but he's a dear old boy really, so I let him get away with murder sometimes. So much has happened here since I last got the Old Folks off to bed and got my paws on here. Have you noticed the problems I have getting photos on the blogs? Good job it's me and not the Old Fella, he certainly does not have my experience with computers and, if I can't do it, he never could. I don't really know where to start. The Old Fella had to take Volpe to the Vet as I told you. The blood tests came back and Doc Shannon told us that The Volpster is lacking a clotting factor on his blood. He's haemophiliac or something. That means his blood does not clot easily if he has a wound. The Old Fella told me I must always be gentle with him and not rough-house. What a joke...I'm over 80 and I'M not to rough-house? That little *^%#$*& is the one that wants to rough-house me. The other day I was coming up the basement stairs where I had sneaked to steal the cat's food, when all of a sudden he popped his head over the top of the stairs and smirked at me. I knew he was just trying to get me into trouble if I retaliated, so I just looked at him. He thought he had me intimidated so I just kept on staring and put on my most innocent look. Then the Old Fella saw what was happening and told The Volpmeister to stop bullying me. Was that funny or what? I really put one over him there. :) Anyway, recently the Old Fella has been taking us over to the local park where there is a skating rink. It used to have slippery white stuff on it, but I noticed that this went when it got nice and warm out. I wonder if the humans ever noticed this? I'll bet we dogs could tell them a lot of good stuff they never notice eh? They never even seem to notice all the good smells we notice. They even pick up all the dog-doo in a bag and wrinkle their noses up at it. Imagine, they go out and spend pots of money on smelly"Ashes of Grandmother" perfume and then make faces at the gorgeous smell of dog-doo. Amazing. Still, it takes all sorts I always say. Anyway, where was I? Today we went out to the dog park and Volpe exercised too hard. He also got scared when Aunt Sal's dogs jumped into the water, so he ran away. I had hoped he'd keep running, but no such luck. He finally lay down and the Old Fella caught up with him. I really MUST talk to the Old Fella, he could have gotten rid of the little monster had he wanted to. But no, he had to catch up and put Volpe's leash on again. Humans are pretty stupid sometimes I think. Tonight Volpster is paying for his exuberance I can tell you, he is very sore and tells me his muscles ache a lot. Sometimes I feel just a teentsy bit sorry for him. But not too much, or too often. I wonder when he'll go to another home and let me get some peace?

I thought I'd just show you a picture of what this mischief gets up to when no-one is watching. This was the coffee filters that were in the cupboard and one of the humans left the door open. LOL....serves 'em right I say.
Catch you later, It's my time to go walkies for the night.
Your friend,
Cleo.
