Aunt Sally's latest
Posted by Cealiegh of Skye ("Kailie") on October 19, 2008, 11:15 pmI was taken up to play with Aunt Sally's group this last week and met the neatest little pup. She had called him "Hurry", but my Dad figured it should be "Hurri" after "Hurricane". He's only four months old, but he was herding Aunt Sally's "Derby" and "Flare" like he'd been doing it for years!! (He even tried to herd me, but I ignore pups - they're to playful for me.) Then my Dad e-mailed the man that he got me from and told him all about "Hurry". I heard today that "Hurry" now has a new home on a farm just west of Souris, Manitoba. He should have a fun time as Mr. Jay has a whole bunch of sheep for him to keep him busy. Good luck to you, "Hurry" (or as my Dad calls him, Hurri")

FrecklesHi Cealiegh. I know what you mean. My mom makes me crabby too when I give "curly lip" to the fosters and younguns to keep them in line!

Cealiegh of Skye ("Kailie")Well, today was a "fun" day!! I got to ridde along while my Mom & Dad took "Hurry" out to his new home in Deleau, Manitoba. Three hours each way, and for the entire trip out, I had to put up with my Mom making such a big fuss over the little monster. He just laid there and ate it up!! And I was yelled at for raising my lip to him a couple of times. When we got out to the farm, all sorts of attention to him. They even took him in with some sheep to see how he would react. Nobody offered me the chance. I'll be I could have showed him a thing or two. But at least I got even with Mom on the return trip - I totally ignored her!! Ha!! But I did break down and give her a lick or two just to show how nice I can be. Dad was cool, though. He managed to pay some attention to me and gave me lots of neat snacks. But I do hope "Hurry" works out well for Farmer Jay. He seemed to enjoy meeting with "Sparky" & "Billy" (who he will be working with). With "Rip" (who is now 15 and retired), and with all the big white Mirammas (who guard all the sheep).
