The authors conclude that cats are far more social then most people believe them to be.  Cats create social order and norms amongst themselves.  They create a comunity that welcomes diversity, from feral cats to completely domesticated spoiled cats.  This book appeals to readers interested in human and animal interaction.  It can serve as an example of what humans can learn from their animal companions.
