Shahna's Dream

Shelter of Hope
Her dream was to build a beautiful shelter, where they could house harder to place animals, and a retirement home for old and unwanted pets. A safe haven, a port in the storm. Funds For Furry Friends is a rescue group who takes in all animals including the old and infirm. They do not deny animals a chance just because they are old.

Adopt Peach!

 Peach is a 7 month old Beagle mix puppy. She was owner-surrendered for being destructive when left alone in the house. This is perfectly normal puppy behaviour, especially when teething, which is why we recommend crate training puppies to prevent damage. Peach is very friendly and is good with other dogs but we are not sure how she is with cats. She gives lots of kisses and still does some puppy play mouthing which should be corrected so it does not turn into nipping. She will be a medium sized dog weighing about 25-30 pounds or so. She has not been fully house trained so she still needs work on this. Peach's house training is coming along well but due to some medication she was on for an infection it has been slow work as she drinks and pees more frequently. She will forget if she is playing She is not very happy going out on her own -- she seems very nervous and really prefers to have me or Taylor escort her. She also gets very anxious if I go  upstairs or otherwise out of her reach -- howls like mad! Peach is a bit of a challenge on a leash.  Well, ok, a bit of a nightmare would be more accurate! She is all over!  Definitely needs some work there, quite naturally. She is all over everyone that comes into the house -- just gets excited like crazy. She is a happy, busy, cuddly, curious lady!
