Kallie is a 1 year old Whippet mix. She was adopted from our rescue last Fall and later returned because she did not get along well with the other dog in her new home. Kallie is kind-natured and loves people and has been very well cared for. She is house trained and crate trained. Kallie has shown aggression when in the company of other dogs; she prefers a home without any other canine companions and with an owner willing to work on correcting her problem. Kallie will be going for training to help work on this issue.Also, Kallie is overweight, weighing in around 40 pounds (we are aiming to reduce this to 30 pounds).UPDATE: Kallie has lost weight! She now weighs 35 pounds. Now she is being crated in the some room as my dogs. She seems a little shy, so I am wondering if her aggression isn't due to fear or lack of confidence. She fetches and loves to run after balls, sticks, etc. She isn't aggressive with other dogs when there is a fence between them. In fact, she is quite submissive. I wouldn't put her in a home with other dogs, but if someone wanted to MANAGE the situation like I am doing - keeping her crated and limiting her time with other dogs- that would be fine.
