Jake is my beautiful rescued baby... I worked at a Hunt dog training kennel for a couple of years, and one night stayed late with the boss to get some extra's done.  A guy pulled up in a truck, and in the back was a tiny, skin and bones, pathetic looking Lab puppy.  He asked if we had lost a dog... He curled up in my Jeep's backseat as I drove him to the humane society.  I pulled into the parking lot, and he crawled up into the front seat looking at me.  Algh... I told him "You have ONE night.  If you screw it up, you're coming back here" and I took him home, and had him ever since!!  ;-)

Jake is a super dog... He is now about 4 years old, and inspired me to start a branch of the national dog rescue, Dogs Deserve Better.  DDB is a wonderful group.  Jake is very good at babysitting the puppies we take in, teaching them the ropes of being a house dog.  I dont know what I'd do without him.
