JerseyHI Kailie! This is Jersey! not Freckles! hehe
Cealiegh of Skye ("Kailie")Actually, I really don't have many friends. Anything other than Border Collie doesn't matter. And I am learning to associate with Sally's group.

Profile

My name is Cealiegh of Skye, but they shorten it down to "Kailie" so that others of the two-legged variety can understand.  I was born out in Deleau, Manitoba, at a sheep farm.  My real Dad, Rip, was a champion herder, but he has been retired now and gets to lay around the house all day.  His work is being done by my Mom, Billy, a brother, Jack, and an new member of the group, Sparky.  I was adopted by my human "Mom" & "Dad" and brought into Winnipeg.  They had brought my new grand-daughter, Taylor with them when they came for me, and I really love her.  When my papers arrived, they found out that back in my family there are two Great Britain National Champions, and a Great Britain International Champions.  My "Dad" laughs that I have better breeding than he does.

Aunt Sally's latest
I was taken up to play with Aunt Sally's group this last week and met the neatest little pup.  She had called him "Hurry", but my Dad figured it should be "Hurri" after "Hurricane".  He's only four months old, but he was herding Aunt Sally's "Derby" and "Flare" like he'd been doing it for years!!  (He even tried to herd me, but I ignore pups - they're to playful for me.) Then my Dad e-mailed the man that he got me from and told him all about "Hurry".  I heard today that "Hurry" now has a new home on a farm just west of Souris, Manitoba.  He should have a fun time as Mr. Jay has a whole bunch of sheep for him to keep him busy.  Good luck to you, "Hurry" (or as my Dad calls him, Hurri")

available T-shirts

Hi everybody!!  My "boss" (HA!!) asked me to pass along this information to all the Border Collie Moms & Dads out there.  He found himself a neat T-shirt with the decal of Border Collies on it.  The shirt is available through the web-site:  www.BestFriendsPets.net, and then go into "Alphabetical List of Dogs".  The Border Collie designs are #FT 376 (of three Border Collies), #D0010 (a single head-on of a Border Collie with the words "Border Collie"), and #6880 (three Border Collies - with one jumping after one of those dumb frisbees, Freckles).

Hi Freckles!!
Hi Freckles!!  Hey, maybe you didn't do well with the frizbee, but chasing squirrels is more fun anyway.  I scared one real good today up in Little Mountain!!  And thanks for teaching me that neat trick about running into the water on the way home.  Is my Dad ever choked at me!!  :-)  He let me swim around for a long time when we first got there, then took me through the trails to dry off.  Then on the way back to the car, I pulled your stunt and ducked away to go for another swim.  Dad was standing at the top of the hill, yelling for me, but I just stood there in the water and grinned.  But he got even with me when we got home.  He got out the hose and sprayed me down good.  So I shook all over him!!  (and he was bent down over me when I did it, too!)  Who says we dogs can't get even?!?!

Now I'm REALLY mad!!
Stupid CANADA DAY!!  Oh, I like the idea of being able to just laze around with my folks for a day.  It's just all those darned fireworks - especially the kids with their fireCRACKERS!!  They scare the heck out of me!!  When it was time for bed, I didn't even want to go outside into the yard to conduct my private business.  Having to be escorted out and watched by Dad is embarrassing.

I'm MAD!!!

Well, maybe, ANGRY!!  My Dad took me up to Little Mountain Park for a run today.  And he took along my favourite toy, my "Whizzer" (it's a cloth frizzbee).  Anyway, after I had chased it a few times, I smelled something really good and dropped it.  My Dad picked it up and put it in his pocket.  THEN HE LOST IT!!  MY FAVOURITE TOY, AND HE GOES AND LOSES IT!!  Now, I ask you.  What kind of good Dad is that??  If any of you see a pink "Whizzer" on one of the trails, pick it up and hang it on the Bulletin Board at the shack for me.  I'm going to make him buy me a new one anyway!!  Not only that, but he ran out of treats for everybody!!  Now I'm mad and embarrassed!!  If I chase him up a tree, don't be surprised.  :-(
